WHOOOT KING PLUS BOOM!

BuzzBuzzHome has its hands on the first rendering of O2 Maisonettes on George, a much-discussed condominium project soon to put its stamp on the corner of Shuter and George Streets in Toronto.

That's it to the left (click to enlarge).

The boutique 14-storey building is, as you can see, heavy on the glass, giving it a chic, airy feel - in accordance with its name, we're guessing. The projects is cleverly billing itself as "a breath of fresh design," and the rendering suggests it'll make good on that promise.

The collection of Maisonettes and Flats will be surrounded by a private courtyard. In terms of the interior, word of two storey suite designs featuring riser staircases and cutting-edge kitchens has us on the edge of our seats.

O2's location, meanwhile, largely speaks for itself. With the hum of Ryerson just a block or so to the north and Canada's centre of commerce to the southeast, a more vibrant and convenient neighbourhood would be tough to find. There is, of course, also the cachet afforded by being part of the historic and resurgent downtown, east of Yonge area.

Anyway, the new rendering has us buzzing even more than before - to Empire Communities, Stal Inc, and Identity Developments, the developers of the project, we humbly ask for more details and renderings soon!
